Synopsis     Leon Bayce and his trainee partner, Melissa Shot, execute an ingenious escape from FBI custody in Los Angeles. Leaving L.A., they reach a property in Selma owned by Mrs. Beth Bayce, Leon’s estranged wife. Leon and Beth are divorced on paper, but not in their affection and commitment.
The house in Selma is next door to Leon’s former Army buddy, Greg LaBree, and his family.
Leon and Melissa plan a brief stopover in Selma before disappearing; however, they discover Greg’s construction business is under attack by unknown adversaries.
Shortly after they arrive in Selma, Greg’s ten-year-old son disappears. To help recover the boy, Leon calls on the same FBI agent involved in his escape—an agent now assigned to help find the boy and then arrest Leon for a baffling bank robbery.
Employees of California Congressman Stephen Milner capture Leon and take him to Milner’s property, Rancho La Luna Bella—usually referred to as Rancho Bella—where they intend to discover his motives and for whom he is working.
Leon and Melissa find themselves drawn into the conflict. Melissa and her identical twin sister, Ana—a technology genius—keep the group one step ahead of the dangerous forces: a Congressman, a Chicago boss and his two ruthless sons, and disloyal FBI agents.
